14,000 Yards for Curtis Martin

Sunday nights game was close one. The New York Jets took on the New Orleans Saints in a battle on ESPN. Midway through the first quarter, Curtis Martin became just the fourth-player in NFL history to rush for 14,000 yards, joining Emmitt Smith (18,355), Walter Payton (16,726) & Barry Sanders (15,269). Martin reached the mark with a great run, sprinting for a 23-yard gain. Unfortunately the New York Jets lost this one 21-19 but played very well. The season has been over for the Jets after week 4 but now we have new hope. It comes in the form of Reggie Bush. The USC running back will most likely be the NFL's top draft pick and if the Jets keep losing, we might get a shot at picking up the leading rusher for the NCAA.
